Building a Party from the Grass roots up - Not from the Top down
The purpose of the movement is to build a mass party of the working class to
establish social justice, democratic rights and public control of the means of
production, distribution and exchange, with the aim of establishing a socialist society
to end the capitalist system of exploitation, and towards this end to build a united
movement of workers at home and internationally.
Jimmy Nolan - TUSP Spokesperson Statement (Sacked Docker 1996-98)
The TUSP encourages the nation's people to participate in the construction and
development of a socialist society in the U.K.
To achieve these aims and objectives all must participate in changing the Political and
Economic structures of our society
Where by the new Political structures are in the interests of all the people in this
country and are utilised fully for all.
Jim Wilson - Chairperson Statement
I Have been involved in the trade union movement and the labour movement for over
40 years and was a member of the print union S.O.G.A.T (84).
During my membership with SOGAT(43 year), I held a number of key posts including
Branch President and regional committee member of the T.U.C conference delegate.
I was employed in one of Robert Murdock's News International companies. Our union
SOGAT had at this time a very strong union foundation with excellent experienced
shop stewards, who negotiated agreements at factory floor level, and were able to get
equal pay for women workers, reducted hours and additional paid holidays.
I was a member of the Old Labour Party for 34 years and in that time held the
following positions - Liverpool Garston Constituency Chairman , District Committee ,
Regional Committee , Regional Organisational Committee, General Election Agent ,
Labour Party Conference Delegate .
Alan Fogg - One of the 47 City Councillor who fought back - Statement
I was one of the Liverpool 47 democratically elected councillors who were surcharged
and thrown out of office by THATCHER’S LAW LORDS.
Build 5,000 new homes, built 6 new leisure centres, froze council rents, created 1,000
new jobs in the council to protect council services, and a further 10,000 in the
construction industry (if that a crime what did thatcher’s crimes do to the working
class).
