A concerned Londoner reply to the Government’s Green Paper
2009 on changing the Disability and Attendance allowances given
to disabled people in the UK.
I think it is disgusting what they are trying to do my husband who is
48 will be retiring on ill health grounds on full pension due to being
blind due to diabetes and glaucoma, he has other problems too
osteoarthritis, deaf lost talking range in ear left one has hearing aid
has benign prostrate hyperplasia and cardiac and liver problems.
He does not drink smoke or is overweight.
His DLA pays for taxi fares to hospital like morefields.
He worked in the public sector where a final salary pension
scheme is in place for 31 years he worked.
They pick on public sector workers all the same its disgusting he
paid in all his working life for his pension and made provision for
me.
If they axe these benefits and carers allowance it will cost the
NHS more because carers save NHS and social services money
by caring for love ones themselves I cannot see David Cameron
nor Gordon Brown being all night at hospital.
David Cameron and Gordon Brown have carers proper paid
carers because they can afford it
